Bandari Youth and Changamwe Ladies, representing Mombasa County, emerged victorious in the fourth edition of Safaricom Chapa Dimba in the Coast region, earning cash prizes of Sh250,000.
The runners-up, The Young Gunners and Bulls Starlets, were awarded Sh150,000 each. Additionally, the Most Valuable Player, Best Goalkeeper, and Top Scorer received individual cash awards of Sh30,000 each.
The winning team, Bandari Youth, also received a Neon Ultra smartphone, while the runners-up, The Young Gunners, received a Neon Smarter phone.
Bandari Youth secured a 3-0 victory against The Young Gunners in the finals, with their players earning the Most Valuable Player and Top Scorer awards. Meanwhile, Changamwe Ladies clinched their second regional title by defeating Bulls Starlets from Kilifi with a scoreline of 3-0.
The Safaricom Chapa Dimba tournament aims to provide a well-organized platform for scouts and coaches to discover new talent and establish feeder systems for Kenyan football leagues.
