Access to State House has been completely restricted as police have set up barricades along all routes leading to the presidential residence.
Officers armed with batons and firearms have established roadblocks near State House Girls and along Processional Way near Serena Hotel.
Additionally, access points from Argwings Kodhek Road near the Chinese Embassy and Silver Spring Roundabout have been blocked off, preventing any movement towards the area.
“This area is under protection. No access is permitted today,” stated a police officer to journalists from the Star.
In addition to roadblocks, police patrols are actively monitoring the surrounding roads, while military and police trucks are stationed near the State House fence.
As a result, traffic on these routes has significantly decreased.
