Woman Found Dead in Mwingi Home

In a somber discovery, Veronica Kanini Mulili, aged 48, was found deceased in her rented single-room residence in Mwingi, Kitui.

Authorities suspect carbon monoxide inhalation from a charcoal stove as the cause of death. Upon investigation, police found a charcoal stove with boiled cassava in a sufuria, suggesting a tragic accident.

The body has been transferred to the mortuary pending an autopsy to ascertain the exact cause of death.

Kisii, Itumbe

Meanwhile, in a separate incident in Itumbe, Kisii, tragedy struck as the body of Brian Momanyi, hailing from Nyaronge village, was discovered on the roadside along the Itumbe-Igare road. Police are treating the case as a suspected murder.

Alongside the body, Brian’s motorcycle was found, alongside a ransacked bag and scattered clothes. Visible injuries included a broken left lower leg and a deep wound on the forehead.

The motive behind Brian’s death remains unclear, and authorities have moved the body to the mortuary for further investigation and an autopsy to determine the exact circumstances leading to his tragic demise.

These incidents have left both communities in shock as investigations continue to unravel the circumstances surrounding these untimely deaths.
