Family Reports Finding Unstable Kajiado Pastor Mako in Kitengela

The family of the Kajiado pastor who disappeared in Kitengela last Saturday has confirmed that he has been located, but his condition is concerning.

According to his uncle Joseph Taani, Rev William Mako contacted his relatives via a borrowed phone on Tuesday night, expressing the urgency of his deteriorating health and the need for immediate medical attention.

“When he called, he sounded distressed and mentioned his urgent need for medical care,” Taani explained.

In response, Taani arranged for three pastors to retrieve Mako from Kitengela town, where he was found in a disoriented state, unable to communicate clearly and in soiled clothing.

Upon reaching Kitengela, it was apparent that Mako required medical intervention, prompting his family to take him to Pona Hospital for evaluation. However, doctors advised against his discharge due to his unstable condition.

“We plan to visit him at the hospital this morning to assess his condition and hopefully gain insight into the circumstances surrounding his disappearance,” Taani stated.

The family disclosed that Mako had left his Kisaji residence near Isinya town on Saturday morning, initially intending to attend a church seminar near Kajiado town. However, he departed without his vehicle, opting for public transportation instead.

Concerns heightened when Mako’s behavior appeared unusual, as he compiled lists of individuals who owed him money and those to whom he owed debts, leaving behind his phone after withdrawing funds from his Mpesa account.

The family intends to issue a comprehensive statement regarding the situation later today.
