Tragedy struck on Thursday evening as three individuals lost their lives in a collision on the Nyahururu-Nakuru road. The fatal accident occurred at the Githioro area and involved a matatu owned by Nasu Sacco and a lorry.
The Subukia Deputy Commissioner reported that the matatu collided with the lorry, resulting in the instantaneous death of a woman and her child who were passengers in the matatu. Regrettably, the conductor of the matatu also succumbed to injuries at the Nakuru Level Five Hospital, where he had been urgently taken for medical attention.
It was revealed that the lorry was traveling from Nyahururu to Subukia at the time of the tragic incident. The authorities are conducting investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident to establish the root cause of the collision.
