Police believe that Githua died after intentionally jumping from a short-stay room, having also inflicted injuries on his wrists. He was reportedly alone at the time, and the door to his room was locked from the inside when authorities arrived.

His body was discovered on the afternoon of December 23 behind an apartment, shocking friends, family, and colleagues. The motive for his actions remains unclear. Entry to the room was gained by breaking the door.

Authorities noted multiple injuries on the body, including a broken right leg, head trauma, deep cuts on both wrists, and a significant hand wound, suggesting self-inflicted harm. The room showed signs of distress, with blood spread across the bed, wardrobes, and bathroom.

A seat and towel in the shower suggested possible attempts at ending his life prior to jumping.

Police recovered personal belongings, including clothing, two mobile phones in flight mode, and a bag with personal effects. The room’s owner confirmed that Githua had checked in alone on December 22, 2025, around 8 pm, and no one joined him.

The family expressed concern when he failed to return home and his phones were offline, which was unusual behavior for him.

Authorities concluded that he died by suicide, initially cutting his veins and later jumping through the window. His body was taken to the mortuary pending an autopsy and further investigations.

Friends remembered Githua as a cheerful and jovial individual.
