Popular digital learning content creator Teacher Cillah has once again found herself in the spotlight after President William Ruto’s son, George Ruto, visited her school on Tuesday.
Teacher Cillah first captured widespread attention in mid-August following a playful social media exchange with George. The teacher had shared AI-generated images depicting herself as George’s bride, a post that quickly attracted attention online.

George joined in on the joke by commenting on the post and cheekily asking for her TSC number, sending the exchange viral and sparking plenty of reactions from Kenyans online.
The attention briefly saw Teacher Cillah shift from her usual energetic TikTok lessons to interacting with followers who were enjoying the unexpected online banter.
What initially appeared to be nothing more than a social media joke, however, eventually resulted in a real-life meeting when George visited her workplace.
During the visit, George interacted with pupils and teachers and even took a moment to demonstrate a multiplication concept on the chalkboard, exciting the learners.
Addressing the school community, George opened his remarks with a humorous reference to the viral AI images.
“Let me first set the record straight, niko na bibi mimi,” he said, prompting laughter from those present.
He went on to describe the online interaction as a positive experience that demonstrated how social media has connected people across the world.
“But I think it was good while it lasted, and I think it was able to show how the world has become a global village. We are all connected through our mobile devices, through social media,” George said.
He noted that the attention generated online had also created an opportunity to highlight Teacher Cillah’s contribution to education and the impact of her creative teaching methods on her pupils.
Teacher Cillah later expressed her appreciation for George’s visit, describing it as a special moment for both her and the learners.
“I have no words that can describe how I feel. Today was such a good day at work; children went home happy. That makes me happy too,” she said.
She added that the pupils would remember the visit for a long time, thanking George for what she described as a blessing to the school.
George replied by commending her work, saying he was “honoured to be part of your journey” and encouraging her to “keep up the good work, Mwalimu!”
The encounter turned what began as a humorous online fantasy into an unexpected real-world meeting, highlighting how quickly a viral social media moment can evolve into something much bigger.
