Edwin Sifuna has alleged that hired groups were deliberately deployed to disrupt ODM meetings in Kilifi and Mombasa counties.
The senator claimed the incidents were not random but carefully planned, targeting specific leaders, including Millie Odhiambo, during engagements in the Coast region.

According to Sifuna, there was a coordinated scheme to interfere with their meetings, alleging that individuals had been positioned in advance to cause chaos and attack attendees.
He said similar disruptions were witnessed in both Kilifi and Mombasa, insisting that the plan to harass leaders had been openly discussed prior to the meetings.
The allegations add to growing concerns about the use of organised groups to disrupt political gatherings and threaten the safety of leaders and their supporters.
The claims come amid internal wrangles within Orange Democratic Movement following the death of party leader Raila Odinga, which has exposed divisions over the party’s future direction.

Sifuna, who opposes cooperation with William Ruto under the broad-based arrangement, has been at the center of the dispute, facing criticism from rival factions within the party.
Separately, Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen ранее warned that more than 100 suspected gangs are operating across the country, some allegedly linked to political actors and involved in crimes such as land grabbing, drug trafficking, extortion, and illegal brewing.
