UDA’s David Ndakwa Defeats DAP-K’s Seth Panyako to Clinch Malava MP Seat

The IEBC has announced David Athman Ndakwa, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate, as the newly elected MP for Malava Constituency following Thursday’s by-election.

Returning Officer Salim Abdalla Salim declared that Ndakwa won with 21,564 votes, narrowly beating Seth Panyako of DAP-K, who received 20,210 votes in a closely fought contest.

Wilberforce Indai of Kenya Moja finished third with 626 votes.

A total of 43,675 votes were cast from 94,417 registered voters, marking a voter turnout of 46.2% across the constituency’s 198 polling stations.
