This year’s CSPOC is scheduled to run from January 3rd to 6th, 2024, and will be hosted by the Parliament of Uganda. The primary focus of the conference is to uphold, promote, and encourage fairness among Speakers and presiding officers of Parliaments. Additionally, it serves as a platform to enhance knowledge and understanding of Parliamentary democracy, aiming to foster the development of Parliamentary Institutions.
Established in 1969, CSPOC operates on a two-year cycle, bringing together Speakers and Presiding Officers from the national Parliaments of independent sovereign states within the Commonwealth. Accompanying Speaker Wetang’ula are the Deputy Clerk of the National Assembly, Ms. Serah Kioko, and the Deputy Clerk of the Senate, Mr. Mohammed Ali.
