President Zelensky said Ukraine is ready to share expertise and collaborate with Kenya on joint development initiatives.

He noted that both sides discussed advancing high-tech cooperation across various sectors, including investment, agriculture, and education, adding that Ukraine is willing to implement joint projects and share experience with Kenya. He also thanked Kenya for supporting Ukraine-backed resolutions at the United Nations General Assembly.

On his part, President Ruto reaffirmed Kenya’s commitment to diplomacy and respect for international law in efforts to resolve the ongoing Russia–Ukraine conflict.

He emphasized that lasting peace can only be achieved through dialogue, cooperation, and adherence to the United Nations Charter, while calling for a stronger and more inclusive global system.

Beyond peace discussions, the two leaders reviewed progress in bilateral relations and explored opportunities to enhance trade, agriculture, and food security cooperation.

Ruto further revealed plans to fast-track the establishment of a grain hub at the Port of Mombasa, aimed at improving regional food security and addressing supply shortages in East Africa.

The proposed hub is expected to position Mombasa as a major distribution point for Ukrainian grain, helping stabilize food supplies in a region frequently affected by climate-related disruptions and shortages.
