A woman was fatally stabbed during a confrontation inside a house in Riruta, Nairobi County, police have reported.
The suspect also attacked and injured another woman and her 15-year-old daughter during the incident, which occurred on the morning of Saturday, January 17, in the Ngando area.

The two injured victims, who are neighbors of the suspect, were taken to hospital with injuries to their heads and hands.
Police said the motive for the attack remains unclear, and the deceased had not been identified by the time of reporting. The suspect fled the scene, and investigations are ongoing.
Several other murder and fatal incidents were recorded across the country over the weekend.
In Katito, Kisumu County, a 32-year-old man, Michael Onyango, died in hospital after allegedly being attacked by his brothers during a dispute over land. The suspects escaped after the January 17 incident, and police are pursuing them. The body was taken to the mortuary pending a postmortem.
In Naivasha, Nakuru County, a 34-year-old man, Paul Mabiri, died following an assault linked to a domestic dispute. His wife was arrested in connection with the January 16 incident and is being held as investigations continue.
Elsewhere, in Menengai, Nakuru County, police arrested a suspect in relation to a murder that occurred in Gatanga, Murang’a County, on January 29, 2023.

Meanwhile, a four-year-old French child was killed in a road accident in Naromoru, Nyeri County, on January 17. Police said the vehicle the child was travelling in was involved in an accident while overtaking.
Four other French nationals were injured, along with five occupants of a Kenya Wildlife Service vehicle. Investigations into the crash are underway.
In a separate incident in Chinga, Nyeri County, the body of a 35-year-old man, Paul Waithaka Kabuu, was discovered after an apparent attack by a wild animal. The body, which had visible injuries, was taken to the mortuary for an autopsy.
Kenya Wildlife Service officers have joined police in investigating the incident to determine the animal involved.
