Video: Safari Rally Spectator Narrowly Escapes Being Hit by a Racing Car

This incident occurred the day after Kenyan rally driver Nikhil Sachania and navigator Deep Patel crashed out of the competition when their Mitsubishi Evolution X car rolled near Kedong.

Reflecting on the crash, Nikhil expressed disappointment at their early exit from the race but remained optimistic about their future participation in motorsport events.

“It’s unfortunate that we had to retire from the race, but I’m confident we’ll be back on the track soon. We’re considering our options for our next car. I can assure fans that we’ll be competing in local races and will return for next year’s Safari Rally,” Nikhil stated.

The duo is part of the KCB-sponsored drivers, including reigning African Rally Champion Karan Patel and navigator Tauseef Khan.

KCB Bank Kenya serves as the official financial partner for the four-day Safari Rally event, which featured challenging stages such as Loldia, Geothermal, and Kedong, attracting both local and international drivers.
