In a statement issued on Thursday, the city-based transport Sacco confirmed it had received the green light from the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) and the Transport Licensing Appeals Board (TLAB).

“After a comprehensive review, we have been officially authorized to resume operations starting today,” the statement said.

The company noted that its team had worked diligently over the past three days to fulfill all the necessary conditions. The goal, it emphasized, was to ensure its services meet top standards in safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

“We’re thrilled to be back on the roads, serving Kenyans with safe and efficient transport services,” Super Metro added.

The Sacco also extended its appreciation to customers, stakeholders, and regulators for their patience and support during the service suspension.

“We sincerely thank all our customers, partners, and regulatory bodies for standing with us during this period,” the company stated.

An apology was also issued for the disruption caused during the suspension.

“We remain committed to full compliance and to offering outstanding service as we resume operations,” the statement concluded.

Customers were encouraged to contact the company’s customer service team for any inquiries.

Operations resumed immediately following the announcement.

Super Metro’s operations had initially been halted on March 20 to allow the company time to comply with road safety regulations. Although a court temporarily lifted the suspension days later, the TLAB directed the Sacco to pause operations for an additional three days to finalize compliance steps.

In an earlier Facebook post, the Sacco reassured passengers of its commitment to meeting all regulatory standards for the safety and satisfaction of its users.
