Stevo Simple Boy: I Died and Resurrected When I was a Child

Stephen Otieno, known as Stevo Simple Boy, a Kenyan musician, shares a remarkable childhood experience where he claims to have died and been brought back to life.

In a local interview, Stevo Simple Boy recounted falling seriously ill during his childhood to the extent that both his mother and medical professionals pronounced him dead.

“I fell very sick as a young child, so much so that I died. I really died, by the way. But through God’s grace, he restored my life,” he narrated.

Responding to a question about whether his upbringing impacted his mental well-being, Stevo Simple Boy mentioned that his humble background did not affect him mentally, but rather, his ‘death and resurrection’ experience did.

“My biological mother had taken me to the hospital, but everyone gave up, saying I had already passed away. They administered multiple injections and medicines, but none of them worked. It was only through God’s presence that I returned,” he added.

While Simple Boy’s assertions may be subject to debate, Science describes instances of temporary death and revival as the Lazarus Syndrome.

“The Lazarus phenomenon is described as delayed return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) after cessation of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR),” according to the National Center for Biotechnology Information.

In December last year, Stevo Simple Boy was reportedly facing mental challenges after learning about his wife Grace Atieno’s pregnancy with another man’s child.

In a leaked audio clip, the musician expressed that he was not the father of the unborn child, mentioning, “We weren’t together after my dad’s funeral… She came back already pregnant.”
