Senator Khalwale’s Bull Caretaker’s Body Released for Burial

Kizito Moi, the fighter bull caretaker and trainer associated with Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale, will have his body released from the mortuary on Sunday, ahead of his burial.

A second postmortem, conducted by government pathologist Johansen Oduor, confirmed that Moi had indeed been killed by the bull, putting an end to speculations surrounding his death.

With the closure provided by the conclusive examination, Moi’s body will be released to the family in preparation for the scheduled burial on Monday.

The autopsy findings revealed that Moi had succumbed to injuries sustained from the bull’s attack.

Senator Khalwale, present at the Kakamega County Funeral Palour, announced plans for Moi’s body to be moved on Sunday morning.

“I am glad that Dr. Oduor, the government pathologist, has announced closure,” Khalwale said, passing condolences to the family and community. “We shall move the remains of Moi tomorrow morning in the usual manner and bury him on Monday at home in Malinya.”

In a tweet on Sunday morning, the Senator mentioned preparations to retrieve Moi’s body from the morgue, while also attending to his calves.

Prior to this, a second autopsy was conducted due to allegations surrounding the cause of death, with both police from the Homicide Unit and Kizito’s family members present.

Dr. Oduor, addressing the media on Saturday, explained that the injuries observed on Kizito’s body were consistent with those caused by an animal, specifically mentioning penetrating injuries that resembled those from an animal’s horn.

The State pathologist concluded that the initial autopsy was accurate and Moi’s death was indeed caused by an animal, as originally reported by Senator Khalwale.

Moi’s body was discovered last Sunday inside a cowshed, where the senator claimed he was fatally injured by a fighter bull he was attending to.
