Ruto to Fly to South Africa for High-Stakes State Visit

Kenya and South Africa are expected to strengthen their bilateral relations as President William Ruto begins a State Visit on Thursday, June 4, 2026,  aimed at deepening diplomatic and economic cooperation between the two countries.

The trip has been described as the highest level of diplomatic engagement between sovereign states, highlighting the long-standing friendship and strong ties between Kenya and South Africa.

According to a statement from the High Commission, the visit seeks to reinforce mutual respect and further enhance the partnership that has existed between the two nations over the years.

The High Commission added that the engagement reflects a shared commitment to promoting development, prosperity, and closer collaboration for the benefit of citizens in both countries.
