President Ruto Kicks Off Homa Bay Visit Ahead of Madaraka Day

President William Ruto is set to begin a visit to Homa Bay County on Thursday as part of a series of development activities ahead of Madaraka Day celebrations.

The national event is scheduled for Sunday at Raila Odinga Stadium.

Ruto will start his tour in Ndhiwa Constituency, where he will officially launch the construction of the Gor Mahia Ring Road in Magina and open the Ndhiwa Technical Training Institute located in Kanyamwa Kologi Ward.

On Friday, the President will preside over the closing of the Blue Economy Conference at Tom Mboya University, after which he will inspect and inaugurate additional development projects across the county.

Ndhiwa MP Martin Owino has encouraged local residents to turn out in large numbers to welcome the President during his tour.

Meanwhile, religious leaders in Homa Bay have also expressed their support for the visit. Bishop Adede Ongola of the Agano Ark Covenant Church commended President Ruto for initiating projects aimed at improving the quality of life in the region.
