Authorities are investigating the death of a police officer who collapsed outside his residence in Kiango, Magena, Kisii County.
Sergeant Good Mufoya, who was in charge of the Kiango Patrol Base, reportedly collapsed on December 23, 2025, after stepping out of his house to answer a phone call. Witnesses said he fell suddenly, and his colleagues described him as a dedicated and hardworking officer.

The cause of his death has not yet been determined. His body was taken to a local mortuary for an autopsy and further investigations.
In a separate incident in Embaringo, Kieni, Nyeri County, a 78-year-old man, James Mubia, was found dead in his bed. Police said he had allegedly been assaulted by an acquaintance during an altercation and did not seek medical attention afterwards.
His body has also been moved to a mortuary pending an autopsy.
