Police and witnesses said the child had been playing with other children on the balcony when he leaned on a metal grill that gave way, causing him to fall.
He was rushed to hospital but did not survive. The incident happened on December 8, and the body has since been taken to the mortuary for further procedures.

In a separate case along Juja Road in Nairobi, a 20-year-old carpenter, Enos Odhiambo, died after falling from the 12th floor of a building under construction. He slipped through an opening and landed several floors below. He was taken to a nearby hospital in Eastleigh but was declared dead on arrival. Investigations are ongoing.

Meanwhile in Utawala, Nairobi, 25-year-old Peter Kariuki drowned while swimming at a private pool. Police said he had asked his brother to record a video moments before the incident. He was pulled from the water and rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The matter is under police investigation, and the body has been taken to the mortuary for an autopsy
