A group of opposition politicians aligned with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has ramped up its campaign activities in Mombasa County, urging residents to back a shift in leadership ahead of the upcoming elections.
Positioning themselves as a united front, the leaders toured different parts of Mombasa, holding meetings and engaging the public in a bid to win voter support.

During their engagements, they encouraged locals to reassess the performance of current leaders and consider replacing those in office, saying fresh leadership is necessary to tackle persistent challenges in the region.
The team also stressed the need for unity among opposition groups as they work to grow their influence in key voting regions such as the Coast, widely seen as a crucial bloc in national politics.
