The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) has unveiled plans to construct a major twin-tower project in Nairobi’s central business district.
According to a notice from NSSF, the development will be situated at the intersection of Uhuru Highway and Kenyatta Avenue, comprising two towers: Tower A with 60 storeys and Tower B with 35 storeys.
The project will feature office spaces, a business hotel, serviced residential apartments, retail outlets, conference facilities, and an observation deck on the 56th floor. It will also include basement and podium-level parking with capacity for about 1,150 vehicles, along with other supporting amenities.
The site has remained undeveloped for several years and has previously faced legal complications over ownership. In 2025, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detained three individuals for allegedly transferring the land fraudulently using falsified documents.
However, the charges were later dropped by a Nairobi court, citing an earlier Court of Appeal ruling that had suspended prosecution while a related appeal was pending.
