Kenya Power has announced planned power interruptions in parts of 12 counties on Tuesday.
The outages are set to take place between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. in the affected areas to allow for system maintenance.
The counties impacted include Nairobi, West Pokot, Uasin Gishu, Nandi, Kakamega, Homa Bay, Meru, Laikipia, Nyeri, Murang’a, Kilifi, and Mombasa.
Nairobi
Power will be cut from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in various parts of Nairobi, including Light Academy, Fair Acres, Marist Road, Hillcrest, and several others such as Don Bosco, Karen C, and St. Hellen, among others. Areas like Dandora Girls Secondary, Gitari Marigu, Korogocho, and parts of Kamunde Road will also experience outages. Additionally, neighborhoods like Pipeline East and the surrounding areas will face interruptions.
West Pokot
Power interruptions in West Pokot will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., affecting areas such as Karas, Kapkoris, and Kamatira.
**Uasin Gishu**
Uasin Gishu will experience power cuts between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. in regions including Outspan, Ancila, and Bethel.
Nandi
Nandi County will face power cuts from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., affecting areas like Yala, Kaimosi, and Chepkumia.
**Kakamega**
In Kakamega, outages will occur between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., impacting places such as Musoli Market, Khaega Market, and Bukura College.
Homa Bay
Homa Bay will experience power interruptions from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in areas like Oyugis Town, Gamba Market, and Mathenge Market.
**Meru**
Power cuts in Meru will occur from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with affected areas including Muthara Market, Muriri Market, and Maua Town.
Laikipia
Laikipia residents will face power interruptions from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., impacting areas such as Turraco, Kalalu Farm, and Greenland Farm.
Nyeri
Parts of Nyeri will have power outages from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., affecting places like Kiamabara Market, Kiganjo Police College, and Kagumo High School.
Murang’a
In Murang’a, power will be interrupted between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., affecting areas like Kenol Town, Kimorori Village, and Magunas S/Market.
Kilifi
Kilifi will experience outages from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with power cuts in areas such as Mwatate Town, Kenyatta High School, and Kipusi.
Mombasa
Mombasa will face power interruptions from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in areas including State House, Fort Jesus, and Mombasa Hospital.
