Murkomen Announces Sweeping Changes in Ministry of Interior Leadership

Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has announced a significant reshuffle within the Ministry of Interior, aimed at strengthening national security coordination and enhancing administrative efficiency.

In the latest appointments, Jacob Narengo Namulen has been named the new Principal Administrative Secretary (PAS) for Internal Security. Namulen will play a pivotal role in steering the country’s internal security agenda.

Beverly K. Opwora has been appointed as the PAS for National Administration, a move expected to bolster the government’s oversight and administrative effectiveness across the country.

The position of Secretary for Internal Security will now be held by Thomas Saka, while Moses Kipkoech Lilan has been named Secretary for National Administration.

In another key appointment, Dickson Liyayi Magotsi takes over as Secretary for Policy and Liaison. His role will be critical in ensuring seamless coordination between various national government departments and agencies.

At the regional level, two new Regional Commissioners have been appointed. Gilbert Kitiyo will take charge of the Nairobi region, while Joshua Nkanatha has been posted to oversee the Central region.
