Thousands of students across Kenya are exploring alternative education pathways after missing placement through the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) for the 2026/2027 academic year.
KUCCPS released the placement results on July 8, 2026, matching more than 310,000 candidates who sat the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations to universities, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions, teacher training colleges (TTCs), and the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC).
However, many other qualified students were not placed, leaving them searching for their next step.

Rather than waiting another academic year, Kismet International College is encouraging students to consider career-focused training that equips them with practical skills for today’s job market.
According to the college, missing a KUCCPS placement should not be viewed as the end of a student’s education journey but as an opportunity to explore other career pathways that align with industry needs.
“One placement outcome does not define a student’s future. What matters most is the decision they make next,” the college said.

Kismet International College offers a range of professional and technical courses designed to prepare students for employment in growing sectors. These include:
