The website, davidmaraga.com, invites Kenyans to contribute as little as Sh50. Within just 48 hours of its launch, the initiative had already garnered over Sh500,000 from local supporters, with more donations coming in from the diaspora in foreign currencies.

“We launched davidmaraga.com, and in just two days, Kenyans contributed more than Sh500,000. Diaspora supporters also chipped in using dollars. That shows a clear desire for change,” Maraga said during an interview on Citizen TV.

He emphasized that his campaign would primarily depend on public donations, with minimal personal funding.

“I don’t have a lot of money. I plan to contribute only Sh1 million or Sh2 million of my own. The rest will come from Kenyans who believe in this cause,” he explained.

To donate, supporters must provide their name, phone number, email, and contribution amount on the platform.

Maraga stated that the funds raised will go toward grassroots engagement, town hall forums, digital campaigns, and building a national volunteer network. He assured contributors that all donations would be properly accounted for and that any surplus would be donated to a public cause.

“Kenyans have suffered a lot. I’m confident they can contribute Sh50 or Sh100 each. If we raise more than needed, we’ll give the extra to a worthy cause,” he said.

Maraga reaffirmed his commitment to forming a professional and accountable government, pledging to appoint only qualified individuals.

“Public office won’t be a reward system. Every official must prove their merit and deliver results,” he stressed.
