A 25-year-old man sustained a fractured hand on Saturday night after leaping from the fourth floor of a rental building in Sunrise Estate, Embu Town. Identified as Daniel Mwinzi, the young man was reportedly visiting a female acquaintance when the incident occurred.
Confirming the occurrence, Chief Sammy Njagi of Kamiu location stated that he received a call from a tenant residing in the apartment around 6 a.m., alerting him to the incident.
Upon arrival at the scene, the Chief found Mwinzi in pain, clutching his left arm, indicating a fracture. It is speculated that Mwinzi may have attempted to flee from the woman’s residence.
According to accounts, Mwinzi ascended the stairs leading to the balcony before impulsively jumping.
“The man had been in the company of a woman with whom he had spent the previous night partying at a nearby nightclub. The motive behind his jump remains unclear,” remarked the Chief.
Embu police swiftly responded and transported the injured man to Embu Level Five Hospital for medical attention. Authorities have initiated inquiries involving the woman, purportedly the occupant of the house.
