Kenyan Comedian Fred Omondi Dies in Road Accident

Popular Kenyan comedian Fred Omondi has tragically passed away in a car accident.

Fred, who is the younger brother of renowned comedian and actor Eric Omondi, was involved in a collision on Outering Road, with the incident reported at Buruburu Police Station.

Fred’s untimely death has deeply saddened fellow comedians and content creators, who remember him as a prominent talent in the industry.

Terence Creative expressed his grief, describing Fred not just as a colleague but as family, recalling their shared experiences of laughter and inspiration.

Eric Omondi, mourning his brother on social media, wrote, “My brother, it is not well. God receive you, till next time.”

Just before the accident, Fred had hosted a lively event called Girl’s Night Out at Captains Lounge and Grill in Athi River, as seen in videos circulating on social media. He was also scheduled to host another event at BVB Lounge in Meru the following day.

Fred had risen to fame following appearances on the Churchill Show, where he showcased his comedic talent before venturing into hosting and emceeing various events across East Africa.

In an earlier interview on KTN, Fred reflected on how the TV show had catapulted his career, enabling him to expand his presence and entertain audiences across the region.
