Karua: William Ruto is not my president

Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua has restated her refusal to acknowledge William Ruto as the President of Kenya.

In an interview on Thursday, Karua asserted her constitutional right to freedom of speech, stating, “He (Ruto) is not my President. I reckon he is in office, however, he got there.” She expressed skepticism about the electoral process that led to Ruto’s presidency, citing flaws and disagreeing with the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the election results.

Karua questioned the legitimacy of the process and emphasized her lack of belief in the court’s decision. This reaffirms her previous statements where she consistently asserted her non-recognition of Ruto as the President, citing the perceived illegitimacy of the government.

Karua has maintained her stance since the announcement of Ruto’s victory in the August 9, 2022 presidential election.
