According to reports, unknown assailants confronted him, stole cash and his mobile phone, and left him injured.

In a video recorded at a medical facility while awaiting treatment, the shaken artist narrated the frightening experience, saying he had been badly hurt and was bleeding, with cuts on his hands and finger.

He expressed gratitude for surviving the attack, describing it as a close brush with death and asking for prayers.

Police have since confirmed that investigations are underway as officers work to trace and arrest those responsible.

At the same time, fellow gospel musician Samuel Muraya, widely known as DJ Mo, cautioned the public against responding to any suspicious messages that could be sent from Gait’s stolen phone.
