Kenya Power has announced a scheduled blackout affecting portions of four counties on Friday, February 6, 2026, as part of routine network maintenance.
In Nairobi County, the outage will affect State House Road, Mamlaka Road, and Lower State House Road, as well as University Hostels of Nairobi, Radisson Blu, State House Girls, Arboretum, and surrounding customers. Power will be off from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

In Nandi County, residents and businesses in Kaptangunyo and nearby areas will experience a power interruption from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Nyeri County will also be affected, with the blackout covering Mukurweini Town, Icamara, Davis, Muhito, Ngoru, Kihuti, Kiangondu, Kimondo, Thangathi, Ithanji, California, Kiuu, Mbugua, Ujamaa, Nguyoini Ack, and adjacent areas.
Other affected locations include Riamukurwe, Wambugu Farm, Gatitu, Micha Market, Thunguma Children, Senior Wambugu, Githoithiro, Gatitu Market, Kagumo Teachers College, Kihoro Forest, Meskin Dailies, and surrounding communities. The power outage in Nyeri is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
In Mombasa County, customers in Mwache Dam, Lustangani, and nearby areas will have no electricity from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
