First Lady Rachel Ruto has stated that President William Ruto will continue his practice of supporting churches and helping others, as it is an integral part of his nature.

She explained that she has known him to be a generous person even before their 33 years of marriage.
“I have lived with President Ruto, and I know him to be someone who is always giving and helping others,” Rachel shared. She mentioned that the President would often assist with transport costs or support visitors to their home.
The First Lady emphasized that Ruto cares deeply about the well-being of others and this will not change. “He has always given and will keep giving,” she said.
Rachel was speaking at AIC Pioneer in Eldoret during a thanksgiving service celebrating the church’s 50th anniversary. She encouraged worshippers to remain hopeful, assuring them that Ruto’s generosity will continue as guided by God.
She recalled a time when she asked the President for money for household expenses, but he explained that he had given everything he had. “He looked in his pockets and told me he didn’t have any because he had already given it all away,” Rachel remembered.
The First Lady also reminded the congregation that the Bible teaches that a generous hand is always blessed. “Let’s continue to give, because the Bible says the hand that gives is blessed.”
She reassured Kenyans that despite the challenges facing the country, they should trust that the nation is in a good place, supported by God, the church, and leaders who care for the welfare of the people.
The service was attended by various leaders, including Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, nominated MP Joseph Wainaina, Health PS Mary Muthoni, and Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii. Sudi and Wainaina also defended the President’s support for churches, condemning social media critics who regularly oppose government initiatives.
