Congolese music sensation Fally Ipupa has arrived in Nairobi ahead of his much-awaited concert set for Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Uhuru Gardens.
The celebrated artiste touched down in Kenya on Thursday, September 3, where he spoke to journalists at the airport and expressed his excitement about returning to the country.
Fally promised fans a memorable performance, saying he was ready to deliver one of the biggest shows of the year.
“Nothing but the beautiful, beautiful, best show ever. Twenty twenty twenty twenty-six,” he said.
The Congolese star also reminisced about his previous visits to Kenya and spoke fondly about the country, particularly its food.
“Yes, I’m very happy to be here. I was here a long time ago, but I like nyama choma. I love Kenya a lot, and I love it. So I’m very, very excited. I can’t wait to be on stage,” Fally said.
His comments also suggested that he was looking forward to enjoying some nyama choma during his stay.
Fally Promises Fans An Energetic Performance
Fally said he expects his Kenyan audience to be fully involved in the show, encouraging fans to sing, dance and celebrate alongside him.
“I wanna make a dance and people wanna see the people sing. Go crazy. All with me. With us. We’re here for this. So I can’t wait. I’m ready to do this big show,” he said.
The artiste also appeared receptive to the possibility of working with Kenyan musicians while in the country.
He urged fans who have not yet secured their tickets to take advantage of the remaining opportunity to attend the September 5 concert.
“Yes, Kenya. We are here. So go get your last ticket. You can see the best show in 2026,” Fally said.
Fally Ipupa has cultivated a strong fan base in Kenya and across East Africa, thanks to his unique fusion of rumba, soukous, R&B, pop and Afrobeats.
Among his popular tracks are Eloko Oyo, Original, Likolo, Canne à Sucre, Amore, A Flyé, Bad Boy, Sweet Life, Mayanga, Bloqué and Science Fiction.
Before embarking on his solo career in 2006 with the album Droit Chemin, Fally was one of the prominent vocalists in Koffi Olomide’s Quartier Latin International.
He has since grown into one of Africa’s most recognised solo artistes, performing to audiences across the continent as well as in Europe and North America.
