Motorists across the country will enjoy modest relief at the pump after the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) announced a reduction in fuel prices for the next review period.
In a statement issued in accordance with Section 101(y) of the Petroleum Act 2019 and Legal Notice No. 192 of 2022, EPRA said it had reviewed and calculated the maximum retail prices of petroleum products to be in force from January 15, 2026, to February 14, 2026.
Under the new pricing, Super Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene have decreased by KShs.2.00, KShs.1.00 and KShs.1.00 per litre respectively.
In Nairobi, Super Petrol will now retail at KShs.182.52 per litre, Diesel at KShs.170.47, while Kerosene will sell at KShs.153.78. The new prices take effect from midnight and will remain in force for the next 30 days.
EPRA noted that the prices are inclusive of the 16 per cent Value Added Tax (VAT) in line with the provisions of the Finance Act 2023 and the Tax Laws (Amendment) Act 2024.

The prices also factor in the revised excise duty rates adjusted for inflation, as provided for under Legal Notice No. 194 of 2020.
The regulator attributed the price adjustments to prevailing trends in the international oil market and the applicable tax regime, assuring consumers that it will continue to monitor market developments to ensure fair pricing and stability in the petroleum sector.
