Joyce Omondi has announced she is stepping down from Citizen TV’s Sunday gospel program Rauka, bringing her four-year second stint on the show to an end.
In a message shared on her social media pages on April 18, Omondi revealed that the Sunday, April 19 broadcast would be her final appearance, inviting viewers to tune in for her last show and make it special. She described her time on the program as a privilege and expressed gratitude for the experience.

Her departure closes a notable chapter, having rejoined the show in 2022 after Kambua exited. Omondi had previously hosted Rauka between 2012 and 2013 before leaving to pursue studies in the United States.
After returning, she later worked at Switch TV, where she hosted the morning lifestyle show Full Circle with Joyce starting in 2019.
Beyond television, Omondi is widely known for her gospel music career, with popular songs such as Conqueror, Kweli, and Naamini. Although she has not disclosed her next move, she indicated that she is transitioning into a new phase in her life.

Her exit drew mixed reactions from fans, with many expressing sadness while wishing her success in her next chapter.

Notably, her husband, Waihiga Mwaura, joined her alongside family members during her final show, surprising her with flowers and heartfelt support.
