The message attracted praise from followers who commended his dedication to preserving and promoting Kiswahili, a language many viewers say has become part of his identity on radio and television.

Terer is currently a host at Citizen TV, where he presents Kenya’s Gold Show, a daily agricultural programme that focuses on farming and agribusiness. He also hosts an agricultural segment on Radio Citizen, where his unique Swahili delivery and deep connection with ordinary Kenyans have made him a standout voice in the media industry.

His mastery of rich, authentic Kiswahili has earned him admiration from audiences across the country, with many praising the way he blends education, culture and entertainment in his presentations.

Terer’s journey in media has been one of resilience and reinvention.

Before joining Citizen TV, he worked at stations including Switch TV and TV47, where he gained recognition as a news anchor and morning show host. However, after the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted the media industry, Terer temporarily exited television and ventured into the beauty and hairdressing business.

Despite the challenges, he later made a successful return to mainstream media, this time carving a niche in agricultural broadcasting — a move that has elevated his profile even further.

Today, Emmanuel Terer is not only recognised as a media personality but also as a passionate advocate for Kiswahili and agriculture, using his platforms to educate, inspire and uplift communities across Kenya.
