Olive Burrows is all set to officially become part of the Citizen Weekend anchoring team, with her debut scheduled for Saturday, June 1, 2024.
A seasoned journalist, she will be seen on Citizen TV screens every Saturday and Sunday, co-hosting the Sunday Live prime-time show alongside media personality Jeff Koinange.
Burrows steps into the role previously held by Vitoria Rubadiri, who departed for CNN in April.
Expressing her excitement about joining the Royal Media Services (RMS) news anchoring team, Burrows pledges to uphold professionalism and excellence in her work. “I am deeply honored to be part of the team. They have welcomed me warmly, and I am eager for a period of growth,” she shared with Citizen Digital.
As a journalist, Burrows aims to advocate for good governance and accountability through her reporting. On Citizen Weekend, viewers can expect a Kenyan perspective on global events. Reflecting on the impact of the Covid pandemic, she emphasizes the interconnectedness of the world, noting how global events affect local communities.
Before joining RMS, Burrows served as a prime time news anchor at the Nation Media Group for six years, following her tenure at Capital FM.
