A child and two adults have been seriously injured in a plane crash landing at Toronto Pearson Airport in Canada.
Photos posted on social media show a plane that appears to be upside down, upside down, without one of its wings.
Toronto Pearson airport authorities said the crash involved Delta Air Lines flight 4819 from Minneapolis, and that “all passengers and crew have been recovered.”
The flight was carrying 80 people, including 76 passengers and four crew members, Delta said. Of the passengers, 22 were Canadian, the rest were from other countries, Ms. Flint said.
Eighteen injured people have been taken to hospital, according to the agency. Among them, the most seriously injured include a child, a man in his 60s, and a woman in her 40s. 22 of the passengers are Canadians, the rest are from various nationalities, said Ms. Flint.
The airport was closed shortly after the incident, but flights to and from Toronto Pearson resumed after several hours.
