Bomet County Implements Telemedicine Robots to Enhance Healthcare Services

In a groundbreaking move aimed at transforming healthcare accessibility and quality within Bomet County, local authorities have teamed up with World Tele-Health (WTI) to introduce telemedicine robots across healthcare facilities, including Longisa County Referral Hospitals.

Deputy Governor Shadrack Rotich, alongside WTI CEO Ms. Sharon Allen, spearheaded the initiative, signaling a significant advancement in leveraging technology to address healthcare disparities, particularly in remote regions of Bomet County.

This partnership underscores Bomet’s commitment to embracing innovative solutions for enhancing medical care delivery.

Rotich emphasized the importance of telemedicine, stating, “Our collaboration with World Tele-Health marks a pivotal moment in ensuring our residents receive top-notch healthcare services. Telemedicine technology empowers us to access specialized medical expertise directly within our healthcare facilities, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes.”

Rotich further explained that the telemedicine technology, already operational at Longisa Referral Hospital, enables local healthcare professionals to consult with specialists both nationally and internationally in real-time.

Additionally, it facilitates knowledge exchange and collaboration among colleagues worldwide, fostering continuous learning and improvement in medical practices.
