Crazy Kennar Embarks on Content Creation Studies in South Africa, Vows Global Expansion

Renowned comedian and skit maker, Crazy Kennar, also known as Kennedy Odhiambo, has announced his venture into South Africa to pursue film studies, marking a strategic move to conquer the global comedy arena.

Kennar, recognized for his comedic prowess, disclosed his relocation plans via his social media platforms. He highlighted his intention to immerse himself in film studies while maintaining strong ties to his native Kenya.

His recent engagements in South Africa, including encounters with renowned comedian Trevor Noah and his appointment as a Visit South Africa ambassador, further underscore his commitment to global outreach.

Sharing snapshots from outside the Atlas Studios premises in South Africa, Kennar expressed gratitude, stating, “Blessed Man! A new level of entertainment unlocked, journey with me as I share my life with you as a Local Genius Kenyan creator studying in South Africa, living in Kenya and in South Africa while creating content across the world. This decision follows closely after Kennar’s successful hosting of his sold-out live show, “Happy Country,” at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC). Despite personal tragedy, having lost his infant son merely four days before the event, Kennar demonstrated resilience by delivering a memorable performance, supported by fellow top acts and artists.

Kennar’s transition to South Africa coincides with significant changes within his Content Kartel comedy group, marked by the inclusion of new members following the departure of the original team. While details of his academic pursuit were not disclosed by Kennar himself, investigations by Citizen Digital indicate his enrollment at Johannesburg’s AFDA School for the Creative Economy.

AFDA is a prestigious private institution renowned for its comprehensive curriculum covering film, television, performance, business innovation and technology, radio and podcasting, and creative writing. Kennar’s decision to enroll underscores his commitment to honing his craft and expanding his influence in the global comedy landscape.
