In a recent development hailed as a significant stride towards administrative enhancement, Deputy Governor Lucy Mulili has expressed her appreciation for the national government’s efforts in establishing new administrative units in Makueni County. The creation of these units, particularly in Kilome Subcounty, has been lauded as a testament to effective governance and robust public participation.

Mulili highlighted the establishment of new locations including Ulu, Masokani, Kiongwani, and a sublocation in Muangini as pivotal outcomes resulting from extensive public engagement efforts facilitated by Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr.
The Deputy Governor stressed the importance of sensitizing residents on the necessity and benefits of creating these administrative units, showcasing the collaborative approach adopted by the government.

Furthermore, Mulili reiterated the county government’s unwavering commitment to advancing infrastructure projects across various sectors within Kilome Subcounty. Notable initiatives encompass improvements in roads, water access, and healthcare facilities, aimed at enhancing the overall quality of life for residents in the region.
These sentiments were echoed by Mulili during the solemn occasion of the burial ceremony of Honorable Anthony Kilundo, a former nominated Councillor in Kasikeu ward. The ceremony, held on Thursday, provided a platform for local leaders to reflect on progress made and reaffirm their dedication to serving the community.

Among those present at the event were Makueni Senator Honorable Daniel Maanzo, Kilome Member of the National Assembly Eng. Nzambia, and area MCA Musau Kavai, alongside other esteemed local dignitaries. Their collective presence underscored the unity and collaboration among leaders in driving forward the development agenda in Makueni County.
