The family of Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) Managing Director, Captain William Ruto, has announced that his daughter, Mitchell Jelimo Kemboi, will be buried on Friday, April 10, at their Kabarak home in Nakuru County.
Jelimo tragically lost her life in a car accident last Friday in Taveta, Taita Taveta County. The family was traveling to Serengeti National Park for the Easter holiday when their vehicle collided with a stationary trailer that had broken down without warning signage.

Jelimo died instantly at the scene, while the other four family members were hospitalized but have since been discharged.
The funeral program includes a fundraiser to support funeral costs, scheduled for Tuesday, April 7, at Mochongoi in Baringo South constituency, starting at 2 p.m.
On Wednesday, Jelimo’s body will be moved from the Mombasa hospital mortuary to Nakuru County. A funeral service will be held at Mochongoi on Thursday from 10 a.m., followed by burial at the family home in Kabarak on Friday.

In a statement, KPA expressed condolences: “Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family and all friends during this difficult time. May God grant them comfort and strength. Rest well, Mitchell. Sleep in eternal peace.”
