All 52 matches of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) will be available for Kenyan viewers to watch from the comfort of their homes, as Public Broadcaster KBC has acquired free-to-air broadcast rights for the tournament.
The matches will be broadcast “Live” on KBC Channel 1 and Y254, as well as on the corporation’s online platforms through simulcast. Additionally, all 14 KBC radio stations, including Radio Taifa, KBC English Service, Pwani FM, and others, will air the matches.
The agreement with Rights Holders New World TV (NWTV) not only covers AFCON 2023 but also includes the broadcast of other regional events over the next two years. These events comprise the CAF Champions League, CAF Confederation Cup, Women’s AFCON 2024, CAF Women’s Champions League 2024, CAF Beach Soccer Championships 2024, CHAN 2024, and qualifiers for AFCON 2025.
The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, commencing in Ivory Coast, will showcase the continent’s top football talent, featuring five teams that represented Africa in the Qatar World Cup.
The tournament will be held in six world-class stadiums across five host cities, including Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium, Alassane Ouattara Stadium, Yamoussoukro, Bouake, Korhogo, and San Pedro stadiums.
