Speaking in Embu during a county tour encouraging voter registration, Maraga emphasized the importance of shared commitment to these principles.

“I believe there will come a time when we will work together, and I am ready to join forces with opposition candidates who are serious about fighting corruption,” he said.

Maraga added that he is open to cooperating with any leaders dedicated to respecting and enforcing the law.

“I am happy to work with anyone who shares this commitment,” he noted.

He also highlighted that his leadership would be guided by personal accountability and strict adherence to the Constitution.

“My leadership will be rooted in obedience to the law. I will lead by example,” he said. “No one is above the law. Those who commit offences must be held accountable. Corruption is what is undermining this country.”

In recent months, Maraga has intensified his nationwide engagements, positioning himself as a reform-focused presidential candidate prioritizing institutional accountability.

He previously urged lawyers to support courageous and principled leadership in the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) elections.

“Dear colleagues, as we elect our new LSK president tomorrow, remember the crucial role the Law Society plays in this country,” he said.

Maraga has consistently warned that without strong leadership in key institutions like the LSK, Kenya risks weakening constitutionalism and the protection of fundamental rights, especially as the nation approaches the 2027 general elections.
