This jump means over 11,000 more girls aged between 10 and 19 were recorded in maternal healthcare within a year, highlighting growing pressure on both health and social systems.
Nairobi County tops the list with 14,291 cases, reflecting the strain on urban communities and reproductive health services in the capital.

Kakamega County follows with 11,835 cases, while Narok County and Bungoma County also recorded high numbers at 10,934 and 10,444 respectively, making them key hotspots for teenage pregnancies.
Other counties in the top ten include Migori County (8,667) and Kajiado County (8,296). Nakuru County and Meru County reported 8,214 and 8,115 cases respectively, showing the issue cuts across multiple regions.

Completing the list are Homa Bay County with 7,846 cases and West Pokot County at 7,696.
The data, sourced from the Economic Survey released in April 2026, points to a widespread national challenge affecting counties across the country.
