Passengers planning to travel between Nairobi and Garissa have been advised to postpone their journeys after Pacific Coach Ltd announced a temporary suspension of all services along the Mwingi–Garissa route due to security concerns.
In a public notice issued to customers, the company stated that all scheduled departures for today have been postponed, affecting both Nairobi-to-Garissa and Garissa-to-Nairobi routes.
The management emphasized that the decision was made with the safety of passengers and staff as the top priority, noting that the current security situation along the route does not allow for safe travel operations.
“We wish to inform you that due to the prevailing security situation along the Mwingi–Garissa route, all scheduled departures for today have been postponed,” the statement read.
Pacific Coach also acknowledged the inconvenience caused to travelers but appealed for understanding during the disruption.
The company assured customers that updates on new departure times will be communicated in due course, urging passengers to stay alert for further announcements.
This suspension highlights growing concerns over safety along key transport corridors, with transport providers increasingly prioritizing caution amid uncertain conditions.
Passengers are advised to delay travel plans and seek alternative arrangements until normal operations resume.
