TikTok has removed more than 580,000 videos in Kenya between July and September last year for violating its community guidelines, according to the company’s latest enforcement report.
The report reveals that 99.7% of the removed videos were taken down proactively, before any user reports, and 94.6% were deleted within 24 hours of being posted. During the same period, roughly 90,000 live streams—about 1% of all live sessions—were interrupted for rule violations.

Globally, TikTok removed over 204 million videos in the third quarter, representing around 0.7% of all content uploaded. Of these, 99.3% were taken down before being reported, and 94.8% were removed within 24 hours. Automated moderation technology detected and removed 91% of the content, marking one of the platform’s fastest content‑removal rates ever.
TikTok also reported deleting more than 118 million fake accounts worldwide and over 22 million accounts suspected of belonging to users under 13, as part of efforts to maintain platform integrity.
“By combining advanced AI moderation tools with the work of thousands of trust and safety experts, TikTok ensures rapid and consistent enforcement of our Community Guidelines,” the company stated. “This is essential to keeping the platform safe and protecting users from harmful content, including misinformation and hate speech.”
In November, TikTok introduced a Time and Well-being feature, along with four new Well-being Missions, aimed at encouraging mindful, purposeful, and confident use of technology, especially among teenagers.

The report is part of TikTok’s ongoing transparency initiative, providing detailed data on content removals and account enforcement across the platform.
