Authorities are investigating several murder cases following the discovery of bodies across different parts of Kenya.
In Kathwana, Tharaka Nithi County, 65-year-old Julius Mugao was found dead inside a church compound on January 11.
Congregants discovered his body lying in a pool of blood. Police confirmed that he had been strangled, though the motive remains unclear.

The body was taken to the mortuary for autopsy as investigations continue.
Elsewhere in Serem, Vihiga County, Derrick Andambi was killed in a brutal attack where assailants reportedly used a jembe to sever both his hands at the wrists. Authorities said the motive is yet to be determined. Police are pursuing the suspects after the victim’s family claimed to know them.
In Njiru, Nairobi, a man accused of stealing motor vehicle spare parts was killed by a mob. Police retrieved the body for autopsy and are investigating to determine who was responsible. Residents reportedly fled the scene as officers arrived. Police emphasized that mob justice is a criminal act, despite the rise in such incidents.

In Mutomo, Kitui County, 60-year-old Francis Mulatya Mulwa was found dead in his compound on January 11. He had a deep cut on the right side of his neck, and authorities are yet to establish the motive. The body has been taken to the mortuary as investigations proceed.

In Chavakali, Vihiga County, a 33-year-old boda boda rider, Rodgers Mukangula, was found dead by the roadside after being attacked by unknown individuals. He had head injuries and lay in a pool of blood. His motorcycle was missing from the scene. Police have taken the body for autopsy and are investigating the incident.
Authorities are following leads in all cases as they seek to bring the perpetrators to justice.
