President William Ruto on Wednesday evening hosted a dinner at State House, Nairobi, bringing together four heads of state and several dignitaries ahead of the 24th COMESA Heads of State Summit.
The high-level dinner preceded the summit scheduled to take place at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) under the theme, “Leveraging Digitalization to Deepen Regional Value Chains for Sustainable and Inclusive Growth.”

The summit, which also marks COMESA’s 30th anniversary, will focus on advancing Africa’s transformation through digital technology.
“We celebrate 30 years of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), a transformative bloc that has driven regional integration, opened markets, created opportunities, and strengthened our unity,” President Ruto said.

The main event follows the COMESA Business Forum held on October 7 and the Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs on October 8, 2025, both at KICC.
