A 43-year-old businessman, Benson Mutua Munguti, was brutally killed during a robbery at his home in Kimana, Kajiado County, on the night of Wednesday, August 27, 2025.
According to police, a gang stormed his Tikondo village residence, attacked him, and fatally slit his throat while his wife and young son hid in another room and escaped unharmed.

The assailants, who wore gloves to conceal their identity, are believed to have specifically targeted Munguti. Police later recovered bloodstained gloves in a nearby thicket, which are expected to aid investigations.
The gang is reported to have stolen a television set worth Sh9,000 before fleeing the scene.
Munguti’s body was taken to the mortuary for a postmortem as detectives pursue leads into the murder.
